Explaining my services:
CBT counselling with a special focus on sport psychology
My CBT counselling services and sport psychology support are based on creating a trusting two-way relationship. This means you are central to the process, and we work together. Your views and reasons for seeking support are accepted without judgement and your well-being, autonomy, and progress are supported at your pace. Achieving your sport-related goals and overcoming your barriers is my focus. We will work together one-to-one; either in person, via video or phone call based on your preference.
One to one coaching
Whether your goals are short-term, long-term, or lifelong my coaching support is bespoke. You may have multiple concurrent goals, or a single focus event. We will work together considering how best to achieve what you want; taking into account who you are, what motivates you, what feels realistic, and importantly what makes you happy. We will work together one-to-one; via phone or video call catch-ups and using the Training Peaks platform based on your preference. You can find me on Training Peaks here
Workshops, Talks, and Presentations
I deliver interactive workshops for groups, teams, or clubs. These are a fresh way of looking at sports development and performance. Depending on your requirements this might mean working on a single, fun, and light-hearted session introducing a new way of thinking to your team, club, management, or coaches. We might pick a single topic such as motivation; developing ideas for improvement in your environment. Alternatively, you could try a series of workshops tracking progress and allowing time to develop and practice new ideas and behaviour. My talks and presentations are delivered on a topic of your choice, agreed in advance. Audience questions and participation are definitely encouraged.
Team, club, or small group sessions are available in person or via online platforms to suit your needs.
Here are a few examples of workshops, talks and presentations I have delivered recently;

Performance Reviews & Programme Development
This aspect of my services is more in line with traditional coach programming. Together we develop SMART* (or SMARTER**) goals against which to measure your progress. This might take the form of video footage of your current performance, analysing previous performances from results or benchmarks and, importantly, learning to reflect on and respond to those experiences. *Specific, Measured, Achievable, Relevant, Time-based, **Evaluated/Enjoyable and Reviewed/Re-adjusted goals for the future.
