As a blog topic, this possibly sounds grander than intended.

Kelly Ludwig and I have been promoting our next “Let’s Talk.. Managing Menopause” event. It crossed my mind that whilst the event itself is aimed at ladies reaching or experiencing menopause, it is not exclusive to that group and neither are the over-arching themes of better health and improved self-esteem. It is universally beneficial for us to be informed, knowledgeable, educated and interested in our health. It is also universally beneficial to be part of a group and to gain social support, to experience belonging and mutual understanding. This helps us to be sympathetic and empathetic towards our peers. Our first guest speaker Dr. Aileen Billsdon-McGrane will be speaking about HRT (hormone replacement therapy) options and how best to implement those in our busy lives. Improving our self-esteem is a multifaceted and individual aspect of our lives. We have chosen our second guests Flanci Activewear as a great example of why small changes to how you feel in practical terms during your activities can make a world of difference to how you feel about yourself and about how you perceive others to feel about you.

Our event is a week today, Monday 23rd January at the Wellbeing Hub in Bridgeton, Glasgow and tickets are available here.
